Aerodynamicist
We are seeking a motivated Aerodynamicist to join the Lotus Racing team. You will work closely with your Aerodynamics Group Leader to develop the car. You will be expected to play an important role in the planning and execution of our wind tunnel programs. Previous experience working within an F1 Aerodynamics department would be an advantage, as would CAD experience (Catia V5 preferred). You will have gained a degree in Aerodynamics (or similar) and have a flexible approach to working hours. This position will involve some travel abroad.
Head of Composite Design
The successful applicant will head up our Composite design group and therefore must be able to demonstrate the ability to lead a team of composite designers through the design process. You will need to take responsibility for ensuring all designs meet the requirements as laid down by the chief designer and also complies with all FIA regulations. The scheduling and allocation of work within the group is an important aspect of this role, as is checking and signing off of designs for manufacture. You will also need to be able to conduct studies into new materials, products and manufacturing processes.
Reliability Engineer
The successful applicant will firstly be involved with the defining, selection and setup of a faults recording system. You will then be required to maintain this system by logging all factory and test faults and ensuring all race reported faults are logged in a clear and concise manner. You will be responsible for assigning faults to the appropriate departments, chasing through resolutions in a timely manner and finally reporting resolutions to the faults group at weekly meetings for which you will be responsible for organising and chairing. A candidate that can carry out design work during the winter months would be a distinct advantage.
Essential Requirements for all disciples-
• Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience of 3D cad (preferably Catia V5)
• Ability to deliver under pressure and compressed time lines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience of the discipline within a motorsport environment.
